I have used A Groom with a View for Daycare, Grooming & Home Boarding for my Dashhund Milo, for many years. The people are fantastic, always helpful & friendly, giving Milo all the care & attention he needs, keeping him happy, contented, and active. I know all the staff on first name term's, & they are always happy to have a chat, and offer advice and support, which has been invaluable, as Milo is our first dog. I would highly recommend all their service's. If your looking for caring, knowledgeable people, who will keep your dog safe, happy, and Stimulated, then these are the one's. 11 out of 10 for Lynsey and her team.

We use daycare as and when we need to and Baxter always has a great time.
Over the last 2 weeks Baxter has home boarded on 2 occasions (first time away from us) he had a great time and he came home ready for a rest! The communication from AGWAV was super, putting our minds at rest knowing that our boy was being looked after well.

I use Groom with a View mainly for Home Boarding - Its all about the people - the team are amazing! My dog was poorly and on antibiotics and I was due to go on holiday. With vets advice we were told to go if the boarding house would administer her antibiotics. Not only did they give extra care to her I subsequently found out that Natalie had an allergy to the antibiotic that she was prescribed - but she did not let this stop her care or commitment she just took extra precautions - Natalie always goes the extra mile.and my two dogs love her so much. I can go on holiday with peace of mind that the team will look after my two dogs as their own. Great leadership Lindsey thank you

My two Shih Tzu puppies go here to get groomed and Natalie is amazing with them they love her. We got Married this weekend and when I realised they would be staying over with Natalie and going to doggy daycare I was more than happy to leave them for a few days. I picked them up this morning and there so happy I would recommend this place 100%
Thank you.

I was so nervous leaving our beautiful boy for a week, we have been reassured that he seemed so happy going to daycare, always with tail in the air, and returning absolutely exhausted. the week he has been boarded though has been a revelation. every day the pictures come up on Facebook and we scrolled through to find him. The joy when we did! Every single photo of him showed him looking happier and happier. These photos felt like a lifeline when he was so missed. He has clearly loved being with you, and I can't say how relieved and happy that has made me. I would recommend you to anyone with a dog for socialisation, love and care.

Such a fabulous team of staff and the care given to my dog - it is outstanding. Its like home from home- and often the dogs get more attention than some homes I am sure.

We’ve used daycare and home boarding quite a bit now and both have been outstanding
Buster has stayed with Lindsey, Natalie and Holly twice and absolutely loves it there. He settles so well that I’m fairly sure he’d pack his bags and move in permanently with Holly if he could. Daycare is just as good. He loves being around other dogs of all breeds and sizes and even at 11 years old he still gets excited as soon as we turn into the road. One thing I really love is the photos we get from both daycare and home boarding. They always manage to capture him having the best time. Can’t recommend AGWAV highly enough.

Home Boarding Designed Around Your Dog’s Routine

Dogs feel happiest when life feels familiar, which is why our home boarding follows a calm, predictable routine.

During the day, your dog attends our daycare from 7.30am to 5.30pm, building confidence, enjoying structured play, and forming positive bonds with people and other dogs.

Alongside this, our home boarders enjoy gentle enrichment during their stay, including regular visits to our own private, secure paddock, occasional pool sessions, and planned outings such as beach trips or seasonal activities, all designed to add variety without disrupting routine before heading home in the evening to relax and sleep in a real home environment with one of our trained team.

A Structured Approach That Puts Welfare First

Every dog is different, and we never rush the settling process. Before boarding, all dogs complete an assessment and attend at least three daycare sessions so they can get used to our team, routine, and environment. For stays longer than two nights, we also ask for an overnight trial to make sure your dog eats, sleeps, and settles comfortably.

We are proud to hold two separate 5-star licences for home boarding and dog daycare, reflecting our commitment to high welfare standards. Your dog’s safety extends beyond our facilities too. All home boarding dogs are transported daily in our specialist van, travelling in individual crash-tested crates to keep every journey calm, secure, and stress-free.

Meet Lindsey & Her Home Boarding Team

Lindsey is the owner of A Groom With A View and has worked in professional pet care since 1996. She founded the business in 2005 with a strong focus on calm handling, high welfare standards, and building trust with both dogs and owners.

In 2016, Lindsey expanded into daycare and home boarding to give dogs a safe, home-from-home alternative to kennels. Dog welfare has always been at the heart of everything she does.

The Benefits of Dog Home Boarding

Home boarding is designed for dogs who feel more at ease in a home setting. Sleeping indoors with people close by often feels familiar and reassuring, which can make overnight stays feel far more comfortable for both dogs and their owners.

Dogs follow a known daily pattern

Your dog’s day keeps a familiar rhythm, with regular mealtimes, rest periods, and activity that mirrors what they are used to. This predictability helps dogs feel comfortable and reduces uncertainty during their stay.

Evenings and nights in a household setting

Instead of kennels, dogs spend evenings and nights in a real home environment. This suits dogs who are used to being indoors with people nearby and helps them relax and settle more easily overnight.

    Consistent handling and supervision

Your dog is cared for by the same experienced team throughout their stay. Familiar faces mean better understanding of behaviour, routines, and any changes that need attention.

Peace of mind while you are away

Knowing how your dog’s care is structured, where they sleep, and who is looking after them allows you to focus on your time away without constant worry.

How We Work

We keep everything clear and transparent, so you know exactly what’s involved before your dog stays with us. Our process is the same for every dog and is designed to help them feel settled, confident, and safe.

STEP 1

Assessment Visit

All dogs start with an assessment before joining daycare or home boarding.

This is a one-hour visit priced at £15.

The assessment allows us to get to know your dog properly, understand their behaviour, and check they are comfortable in our environment. It also gives your dog a gentle introduction without pressure.

All dogs must be fully vaccinated before attending, including kennel cough, which is not always included in routine boosters.

STEP 2

Daycare Sessions

After the assessment, your dog attends daycare sessions before boarding.

This step is essential and helps your dog build familiarity with the routine, the space, and the people caring for them.

During home boarding stays, dogs attend daycare between 7:30am and 5:30pm, so we need to be confident they are relaxed and happy in that setting.

STEP 3

Home Boarding

Once your dog is settled and comfortable in daycare, they can stay overnight with us.

Dogs staying longer than two nights are asked to complete an overnight trial first. This helps us make sure they eat, sleep, and settle well in a home environment before a longer stay.

Our boarding dogs spend the day in daycare and go home in the evening with our staff, following a familiar routine in a real household setting.

This process applies to all new dogs and helps ensure overnight stays are a positive experience.
