At A Groom With A View, enrichment is a key part of our doggy daycare. Through a variety of carefully planned activities, environments, and outings, we provide dogs with opportunities to explore, exercise, socialise, and have fun in a safe and supervised way. From secure paddock time and pool sessions to beach trips, our enrichment experiences are designed to support both physical and mental wellbeing while making daycare an exciting place to be.

With outdoor exploration, warm and cold weather water fun, beach visits, and themed celebration days, your dog experiences variety, stimulation, and structured fun in a safe and carefully managed environment.

Outdoor Exploration

We have access to our own secure dog paddock, located around 20 minutes from A Groom With A View on the border of Lincoln and Newark. This large, open space offers fresh grass and plenty of room for dogs to run, play, and explore. We also visit other secure paddocks, providing variety through new environments and equipment. These outings offer excellent mental stimulation and help dogs build confidence through positive new experiences.

Pools and Water Fun

Pool trips are a firm favourite at A Groom With A View. During the warmer months, we regularly visit a large outdoor swimming pool, giving dogs the chance to cool off, burn energy, and build confidence in the water. We also set up our own smaller pools at daycare, alongside sprinklers and water toys, which is always a hit.
In the colder months, we continue water-based enrichment by visiting an indoor heated pool. These sessions are fully supervised, and our team is always on hand to support dogs in a safe and fun environment.

Trips and Adventures

New experiences play a vital role in enrichment and social development. We regularly offer a variety of trips, including beach visits, particularly during quieter winter months when dogs can enjoy the space more freely. Dogs staying with us for boarding also benefit from walks and outings, giving them a change of scenery and added stimulation during their stay.

Seasonal Activities

We love celebrating the seasons and marking special occasions throughout the year. Our themed enrichment days include seasonal activities, photo sessions with fun backdrops, and festive treats, with Valentines Day, Easter, Halloween, and Christmas always being firm favourites. These special days add variety, excitement, and lots of tail wags to daycare life.
